Objectives
A primary focus of Synaptics’ CSR activities has been to improve infrastructure & facilities at schools and make it an inspiring learning environment. Based on the Block Education Officer’s inputs a detailed need analysis was undertaken and Shyanuboganahalli Higher Primary School, Bannerghatta Panchayath was selected for this intervention. It impacted 288 students from 1st to 8th standard. The school building was dilapidated with cracked walls and roofs that leaked and a risk to students and staff.
Apart from school infrastructure, Synaptics also sponsored scholarships for students from economically challenged background, pursuing graduation or post-graduation in science to motivate them for higher studies.
The system of education has seen drastic changes over the years. Teachers must continually adapt to changes in syllabus and exam patterns, engage students effectively, foster creativity and with COVID19, digitization of education. In this backdrop an equally important initiative was also undertaken to train the teachers in modern tools and aides necessary to impart lessons. Oasis foundation partnered with CTD (Connecting the Dots) and designed a program to train a group of select and deserving Govt High school teachers across the state of Karnataka. A total of ₹13,33,482 was sanctioned for these initiatives.
